The vets are guessing a mix of two or more of the following: great pyrenees, akita, husky, and malamute. He has single front dewclaws and none on the back feet, so that rules out the pyrenees for the most part. He is approximately 9 weeks old, 21 lbs, and 14" tall at the front shoulders. His ears do not stand up straight, they stay folded even when they perk up. He is very playful but slow and uncoordinated. He sleeps alot, and seems to be paralyzed if you hold him like a baby. He is a very loving, but likes to bite. Basically he is the perfect puppy for now. I am waiting for him to start chewing up everything. I would like to know if anyone can tell me what breeds he is or isn't for that matter.

I have news for you. It is probably half pyrenees. A great pyr at 9 weeks would easily be 21# and 14" tall. A malamute is 3/4 the size / weight of a pyr A husky is 1/2 the size / weight of a pyr. The akita is also about 1/2 the size / weight of a pyr
SO... by his size, I'm unsure that any of the other 3 are the correct other half, but looking at his photos, I'd say he's half pyr.
Great Pyrenees have usually single dew claws in the front and double dew claws in the rear, BUT a pyr cross may have one or none and that's not unusual, so your thought is not correct about the lack of dew claws ruling out his being half pyr.
He also holds his tail like a pyr, rolled over his back.
He holds his ears like a pyr. Akitas, Huskies and Malamutes have ears that stand up. They also have more brown, and he has more gray.
Pyrs, as they grow, get leggy, then fill out, get leggy again, then fill out again. They gain about 10# per month. till about 7 to 9months and then start to slow down. They sleep a lot due to rapid growth.
They are VERY loving. All puppies play bite and have to be taught not to do this.
The tail carriage over the back, blue eye and color pattern tells me he's probably husky-malemute, maybe even some others mixed in. The fact that his ears are still folded down is not necessarily a clue. Many prick-eared dogs like Malemutes, Huskies and Shepherds don't get their ears all the way up until they're nearly 6 months old in some cases with bigger, thicker ears. Whatever the case, that is one of the most adorale pups I've seen. Good choice and a beautiful boy. My current puppy (7 months old) has NEVER chewed on anything that was not his to chew. Give him plenty of good large raw meaty bones, and he'll stay occupied. They're good for him too.
if i had to pick 2 from the list i would say husky because of the eyes none of he other breeds listed have blue eyes as astrong dominant trait and pyranese because of the lop ears, but only being 9 wks his ears may stand in which case he may be part akita or malamute i also get from his aparent size part akita or malamute akitas are bigger so that may be or like dude said he could just be malamute malamutes are husky and part wolf but malamutes can always be different percenatges so you never know if you want to take any other gusses then this can help
MM breed rule: more than 50 percent of fthe time when ever 2 dogs are bred together resulting in a mix breed the dogs general characteristics will be as the body of the female with little alteration and the features of the male with little alteration, this is usually spliting the litter 60/40 or more shall show these characteristics, of course if the 2 parent dogs are not mutts themselves then the out come percentages can be lowered or higher with the latter still being the general rule
He does look like a pyrenees or another guarding breed like a kuvasz. I could see malamute too. Hard to tell at such a young age. Because he's a supposed mix he might not have all of the breed characteristics to make him similar to a pyrenees. Those are usually recessive traits anyway.
It's a Chow with Siberian Husky. You have a beautiful puppy on your hands!!! It is possible there is Akita in there. Although looking at his weight and especially his height, the smoked fur and the floppy ears, I wouldn't rule out Great Pyrenees.
