He's actually in a sense being forced to resign. He knows the ramifications of his actions and he really doesn't have much of a choice. He could very well be indicted on criminal charges. Bill Clinton was merely guilty of sexual misconduct which is a minor offense compared to Spitzer's involvement.

Not at all. Number one: He is being forced to resign. Number two: America can afford to lose someone in his position mid term versus America losing its PRESIDENT in mid term. I do not think Clinton should have resigned and I personally would not have cared if Spitzer did. If every elected official resigned for engaging in any type of misconduct, there would be not political offices period. They all have done dirt (men and women) many just had the luxury of never being caught.

NO! Spitzer is likely guilty of a crime--violating the Mann Act. Clinton was guilty of bad judgment, not guilty of a crime.
