Do you star, then take it away, if you're not picked as best answer?

i can't believe people actually do that...i've noticed that my stars went down like by 3 today... i can't believe some ppl have the time to go back and take their stars away.

I didn't even know you could take your stars back. Why would someone bother doing that???
Here, have a star, lol. Then I'm going to try taking it back, and then hopefully give it back to you again.
You have me intrueged!!

I didn't know you could. I wouldn't have done it anyway, so stupid! Although I wish you could take "thumbs up/down" away as I clicked on the wrong one yesterday. I REALLY wanted to give this answer a tripple "thumbs down" and gave a "thumbs up" by mistake. You can hardly "star" by mistake, so reckon Yahoo should alter their layout. "Report it" is too near to "thumbs down" and that mistake could easily be made and that has consequences rather than just opinion.
Anyhow, will give you a star for this question, very interesting.

I don't do that, that is immature and I put stars because I like the question and I want to revisit it. I don't like bribing others to give me the best answer by putting a star.

Not even! I star a question because I really think it's interesting and I want to keep track of it, so I can see what people answer.

Thumbs up only count if you get a best answer. After that they're are just a "pat on the back."
