Start with this. Fill-in-the-blank questions are specifically listed in the rules as being chat violations. No exceptions. That will cover #2 and probably #1. Even if #1 had choices, it would still be considered chatting and very much like the examples given in the rules.

For the third one, the rules talk about low quality polls. This would fit that. Also, you didn't need to ask it. If you had searched, you would have found many versions of the same question that have not been reported.

It takes reports from your fellow users for violations to occur, so some versions do slip through. You do need to reread the chat rules. The following may help.

Chat is defined in the YA Community Guidelines (link at bottom of every page). There are specific things listed that you may not think are chat, but Yahoo defines it that way and you have to live with it. You should go to the site dizzay.com and see what a YA type site looks like when chat is allowed.

Just stay away from questions that simply ask people's personal opinion or personal information. Those can sometimes be ok, but most of the time they are chat. Stick with questions that only ask for facts, figures, and data like a teacher might ask in school. You can ask for example Paris Hilton's age, but you can't ask what people thought of her dress. You can ask "What is a good SUV for a big family?", but not "What type of SUV do you drive?".

Chatting is asking questions that can only be answered with personal opinion and to which only you and the answerer will give a hoot. You can tell most of these by the presence of pronouns (I,we,you,me,us) or pronoun adjectives (your, mine, ours). If these are present your question will be chat 90% of the time and if you can not rewrite the question without them, it is chat 99% of the time.

People have different takes on violations, but I hope you will reread the community guidelines for other types of questions that are not allowed and specifically spelled out such as Fill in the Blank questions (link at the bottom of the page).

Questions #1 and #2 are technically chat type of questions. That many stars and over 100 answers per question put them on the map for users who maybe were not amused with it's content and reported them. They might have also been reported for being posted in the wrong section, but you haven't given enough information to know if this is what might have happened. #3 might have been considered a poll or survey type of question; if you posted it in polls and surveys there is a chance you could appeal the deletion and get the question back. If you question content runs on the risque and/or edgy side you run the risk of getting the negative attention along with the positive popular response.

yahoo has a silly way of reporting..if 2 trusted members reports ya ..you get a violation..

see they can report good at first,,but a couple people may not like ya..and email each other etc

and have ya account deleted..it happens lots..

now that was the rule..for violations..it may have changed ..

i have had violations over turned .

    .so nicely protest to yahoo

If several members check the box that indicates a violation, Yahoo will automatically delete the question even though they did not even look at it. Your question only has to be irritating to a few people. It may even be a small group of people who did not like one of your previous questions or answers.

You need to send an email to their admin and ask them about it. I am sure the admin guy will give you a proper answer.

Someone out there must have taken a dislike to your questions and is complaining to yahoo.

I am sorry to know that. Similarly they have deleted my answer too.

But I don't bother as it is not a loss to me. It is a loss to those who could not read it.
