I work 5 days a week 8 hours a day. I go to the gym three days a week for a one hour workout. I am just burned out. I am 55 and have two teenage boys and I also sleep about 6 hours a night I wish I could sleep more but it just never comes.

You need to try and get to bed by 9pm at night and try and get a few more hours sleep.
Also make sure your eating enough protein. Not enough protein can make you more tired and not sleep enough.
You are doing everything to exert your body so that you get good sleep. but you have restricted hours of sleep to 6. you may not be aware that each one have differnt needs of sleep hours as one has different needs for food.
Secondly you may be putting your waking hours too much reading, watching TV
If the mind is overstimulated at the sleeping time, you will end up waking till moring comes.
You can take the hot water bath before sleep, this will give you sound sleep, Also avoid stimulating beverages during the day and at night time.
However review your waking hours how you spend them and restruture.
you are 55 years old for crying out loud and your gyming 3 times a week and working daily for 8 hours on a 6hour sleeping night 8hours sleep is needed and thats the minimum cut your workout to 40 mins
U and a million other awesome moms out there. Its not easy - but you sound like you are doing your best. everyone needs a time out from doing their best to refuel. can you get your kids to help more around the house (cooking or easy prepared meals - laundry)? flex hours at work or take a day or two off when no one is home? if you have a significant other ask for a nice long massage or if possible pay a pro. Please don't wait to take care of yourself - you are too important to those kids. Tell them how you feel and need some extra TLC. Hang in there and try to fit in what you really enjoy. U have my admiration.
