Homeschooling parents and students: Are you giving the "report it" buttons a good workout lately?

To homeschooling parents & students - I was curious if you're giving the "report it" buttons a lot of use lately. It seems this week the anti-HS'ing trolls are out in full force. They are not answering legitimate questions and instead are ranting their opinions about how "awful" HS'ing is and how it's the worst possible thing...yadda yadda.

I know I have ;-) I think others must be also, because I'm noticing a lot of answers disappearing. Please make sure to report these people so we can weed them out of our forum.

Hott Black Fan & Beth - are you homeschooling parents or homeschool students? Did you read that I geared the question to those two categories of people? Did you notice I posted it in the Homeschooling forum?

By the way, I am not "policing" the forum. I just get tired of HS'ing trolls and naysayers not following the community guidelines.

My point is driven even deeper.

I guess Beth's rant was removed. Two people must have reported her.

For a long-time Y!A member, she should have known better.

Yep, I've been giving that button a workout as well!

hott black fan and Beth - members are supposed to help "police" the site - report answers and questions that violate community guidelines. Read up on it.

Well, this is a rant thinly veiled in a question that is an invitation to chat. Someone could have reported it as it too is a violation. Though clearly you felt ownership over this thread. It's ok for hs moms to violate the community guidelines, but not for others to. Yes I report, regardless of the agenda. If you break the rules, you break them.

I by no skill checklist people, yet my terrific chum has been stated like three times(by skill of an identical guy or woman) purely simply by fact they did no longer like her. How impolite! yet i'm a powerful woman, so i do no longer checklist people(that's purely the way they're) and that i do think of reporting could be made public for each guy or woman to work out. that's a combat to work out who's sturdy and who's evil!!!

I think some people have been getting a little carried away with the button. I got reported because my answer was to suggest that the person checked out the Answered section (it was yet another HS pros and cons question).

I've been away from YA. If I see trolls, I report them.
