I eat but never get full
My brothers are in thousands
I make things that are far close
What am I?

Good luck w/ this, my uncle made it up, and i thought it was pretty good.

A determined decision! lol btw: it can't be the castle's shadow. Because a thousand men could hold up a huge mirror, and, using the sun, shine it at an angle towards the castle. Voila! The shadow moves... here's a better riddle: What's big, hard, and full of semen?
