With out using FOX NEWS Can some one show me a source that is factual in stating that the media is left wing?

Media has always been progresive liberal, otherwise the Ultra rich establishment who always has it there way for the moment would not want change anything or bring to the attention of people problems because they would have to fix it.. Laws to protect workers, equal rights for minoritys. would never benefit the ultra rich. and would certainly hurt them. conservatism is for status quo. we got ours whats your problem. why change anything?, why report any problems they cant be helped, the poor misfortunate peoples are lazy and want to be poor. Why shine the light on isues when you are living good within the system for the moment. in the 80s the democrats spent us into masive debt trading the republicans to be able to spend on trillion dollar defence against russia. for there trillion dollar welfare state, the media was extremly biased to the left even tho they would not show that the Blacks in the iner city were living as animals in the projects . wasted lives of drugs and filth, and the Democrats would still honor the Tip Oniels of the world as helpers of the poor even tho they did nothing for the poor. The liberal media began to not have a cause any more. failure on all fronts . the right wing had the victory of the cold war and were then able to fixate on the failure of the left. Phil donahue unable to even have black people on his show because they could not even speak english, gave up and left the airways, Rush took over,, then the right wing began buying media, then it went to far.. like now right wing is living in lala land. supporting this fool of a president .. I have always been a conservative . but I now realise Bush n co are self serving feeding off our pride fears and patriotism, while they do deals with dictators , hide there profits in other countries. . When gas hits 109 dollars a barel they light up the cigars. when a bomb goes off in Iraq they here the cash register cha ching. its natural, but its time for a change I'm voting for obama. would vote for ron paul but hes to soft spoken, hell of a grasroots campaign the media is ignoring his amazing run both right and Left.

The left wingers are saying the same thing, only in reverse. There is no proof either way! Some stations favor the left, some favor the right. Same with newspapers, radio, even here on Y/A. Personally, I like to watch FOX News to get the rights opinions, then MSNBC to get the lefts opinions, then I can make an informed decision on my own as to how I think on certain issues. Both sides have good points and bad, the problem with our country the last decade or so is everyone is so polarized. They don't think for themselves anymore. They just spew out the crap given to them from their mouthpieces , even if they are wrong. Limbaugh is a hate-mongering wind bag. I love how he shot himself and Missippippi Republicans in the feet when he told them to vote for Clinton. By doing so, he probably put a Democrat in the House of Representatives. Heh. There is no evidence. Speaking of books, several have been written by credible, well-educated people (you know, people with advanced degrees rather than college dropouts like Rush) giving evidence that most U.S. media is not "left-wing" at all, but rather quite consistently right-wing.

One thing that abounds in the U.S. media, for example, is the use of stereotypes. These are bits of ignorance that many liberals do not support, but that most people do not even notice, their brains are so shot from sitting in front of their reality TV shows. If the media was so "liberal," there would be a lot fewer of these, as well as a lot less violence against women, objectifying of women, and sensationalizing of black crime.

Since 1962, there have been 11 surveys of the media that sought the political views of hundreds of journalists. In 1971, they were 53 percent liberal, 17 percent conservative. In a 1976 survey of the Washington press corps, it was 59 percent liberal, 18 percent conservative. A 1985 poll of 3,200 reporters found them to be self-identified as 55 percent liberal, 17 percent conservative. In an article today in the A.P. by Nancy Zukerbrod she wrote a piece about a high school senior who showed that the books that are being printed now are leaning to the left or that is to say LIBERAL!
The Center for Inquiry, as Amherst, N.Y., think tank had issued a scathing report about the textbook.
They stated that they found items in these textbooks that were so far wrong and that they ignored the truth in order to push the far left agenda.
Now I know this is just ONE item but that is what you asked for.
