AK's aren't known for good accuracy. they have lower tolerances than most other rifles, which reduces accuracy. You'll still hit stuff though. The AK rifles are the most reliable weapons i nthe world, they're nearly indestructible, you can fire 1000s of rounds between cleanings, you can drop it in the pool for a month or two, let it rust shut, and it'll still shoot when fed new ammo and water drained out. With this type of reliability, the AK will take any kind of 7.62x39mm cartridge, russian, surplus, or some other cheap crap. The more expensive ones also runs thru it well.
If you are east of the mississippi go with AIM as that they are out of Ohio and their shipping will be more reasonable. Conversely if you are west of the mississippi order from JGsales, they are out of Arizona and will be most reasonable in that area.
As you say if you don't need lectures and own 3, odds are you already are pretty darn good at doing a field strip and have a good idea of how these guns work. If you can use and have access to a drill press and dremel tool and can make or borrow a rivet crusher, you can build your own from a 100% reciever. If you can get to a build party, then you can save more money by working from a reciever flat. I'm only an average 22 year old guy and I have built 5 of them and I have moved on to other build-able kits.
