I have a small pond, only about 400 gallons, but I need to get a UV clarifier. What is the best to use?

I have a small pond, only about 400 gallons, and I definitely need to get a UV clarifier for it. Question is, which of these two is better?
PetSmart carries the Laguna 1000 with a 8 watt bulb for $199.
Lowe's carries the Garden Treasures with a 9 watt bulb for $69.
No brainer -- cheaper isn't always better.
All I can find out is that the Laguna filter states it is good up to 1,000 gallons and the Garden Treasures states it is good up to 2,000 gallons, but I don't want to waste money on Garden Treasures brand when I can find NO information online.
Anyone have the actual website for Lowe's Garden Treasurers products? (don't reply with lowes.com either).

Any help is appreciated.

I can't imagine you need a UV light with a 400 gallon pond. Try Microbe-lift PL first.
