How to start a career in playback voices and work with channels like Discovery, History, NGC etc.?

I am a MBA with more than 6 years of exp. in HR field. Now I want to quit this and would like to persue a career in 'play back voices', something like -- that are used by different channels for dubbing their programmes in various languages. The problem is that I don't know where to start from as there's nobody who can guide me in this. How to begin, what are the different opportunities in this feild, how are people 'taken in' by these channels..... I have organised & compared few stage shows during my schooling & work days but I don' have any formal training in this. Would like to know some good institutes also that provide relevant courses.
I would appreciate if some ideas can be poured in from you guys....that would be a great help.

hey actually, the field you are interested in is very exciting. When it comes to dubbing, it is a very low paying job, until you are very good at it. Why don't you pursue a career as a radio jockey? The job payments are great.
Anyway, if you would pursue a career in dubbing, there are media institutes which will be training you. Actually the course which you want to do is available at journalism institutes. There are 1 year courses. You get an M.A degree. University of wales is offering this.

i am not an expert on the topic, but according to what i watched in tv about dubbers, one actually went to the radio station to audition there if there are vacancies. Most of the radio people are also connected with the tv people. They could be a good source of leads for you.
God bless on the new path you are willing to take.
