What was it suspended for?
Every state has a provisional license that you can get for to and from work/medical, a few years ago a friend of mine had to get one for a DUI suspension it cost him $750 plus he had to get the breath tester hooked up to his ignition system.
It is a case by case basis and you may or may not get one best to have a lawyer do the leg work for you here if you really need it.

A friend of mine had his license suspended, had to pay all fines realted to the case, pay reinstatement fees, and retake drivers tests.
