Actually, though the answerer who said "Wal-Mart" was joking, don't discount the idea of getting some of your supplies at such stores that are easier to find - they sell a lot of stuff that I as a Wiccan and witch use regularly and are a lot less expensive than the specialty shops (candles, incense, herbs, craft supplies to make your own altar tools, 3 ring binders and paper to make my BOS & journals, etc.)

What do you want ? First check out the feeling of the people you meet. There are lots of "botanicas" for Santaria in the Spanish speaking barrios that sell candles, herbs, oils, classics like " Mano Ponderosa" etc. Pan Pipes on Cuenga between Sunset and Hollywood Blvd for punk goth Wicca.

For Wicca check Hollywood first. The town of Redlands has an old Satanist underground going back to the 1950s
