Actually, though the answerer who said "Wal-Mart" was joking, don't discount the idea of getting some of your supplies at such stores that are easier to find - they sell a lot of stuff that I as a Wiccan and witch use regularly and are a lot less expensive than the specialty shops (candles, incense, herbs, craft supplies to make your own altar tools, 3 ring binders and paper to make my BOS & journals, etc.)

They have some very interesting supplies. This is for White Magic. If your looking to do something evil, go somewhere else. Otherwise, they're the best place in L.A.
