Why does my chihuahua?

stand on the couch and look down into her crate and whine. she only does it once in a while.
when I let her in sh wants right back out. I take her toys out of it during the day and have tried putting her out to but she wants right back in the house. Her sister does not ever do this.

She sleeps fine in her crate during the day and at night but due to space constraints we can't have the dooe open all the time. Small house, 4 dogs ,big yard.

She could be telling you a number of things for instance when animals sleep in crates or pet porters they seem to get very secure in them, some do not like them and she could be telling you that. You have to get to kow your dog and listen to them check out the crate make sure there is nothing in there hurting her. Dogs are very smart they talk in their own way and your chihuahua are very smart breeds.

Keep the crate open and let her go in and out as much as she likes. My dogs will lay in their crates and sleep with the door open. Its their own little home that makes them feel safe and secure.
