Memorial Day tribute?

I would like to quote the lyrics of an old Irish song "The Parting Glass" to all those who have lost.

Of all the comrades e'er I had
Who left me in good company
And all the sweethearts e'er I had
I wish them one more day to see
But should it fall unto my lot
That I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and softly call:
Goodnight and joy be with you all.

God bless,
Cider

Thank you, that was very nice. As a child, my parents would take me to the cemetary to see my grandparents graves and the gave of my aunt, who died young from pneumonia, but we no longer live in that town and Mom has the box with Dad's ashes in her bedroom so it's not the same.

But it's good for us to pause and reflect on the meaning of Memorial Day.

I've actually heard that before, very nice. I took my Girl Scout Troop to the local cemetery to place flags for the Veterans :-)

I hope you had a nice weekend,
Marianne
