Is good-bye really good-bye?

Good bye?

Good byes are transitory
a wave, a smile, a warm kiss
leaving only starts the timer
till reunion once again

Be not sad, but glad, time spent
kiss the flower there before
smell the sweetness, savor one
some memories... never fade

This sojourn, this speckled road
calls out, all departing times
horizons wait, the road's clock
good byes are...transitory

No, good bye is not really good bye. Very nice and soothing, thank you.

Some good-byes are the longest ever known, And now I think
on ------------are all Byes "good"
I am now tempted to post a poem wrote in 1997, maybe I
will-------- This is an interesting study on the word and takes my mind to many places, ever in wonder who said the first
good- bye, and the cousin words to good-bye, farewell, adieu,
etc. Horizions do await, Kudos! on a deep subject with just a word!

Yes, good byes are transitory. In addition, a good bye is a hello to something new.

Many good-byes are merely "au revoirs." Let us hope that at least some are "transitory."
