Is it just me, or does Shelton Benjamin have a chance to be a very good heel champion if done correctly?
Imagine a scenario like Money in the Bank, where Benjamin is involved (again), but this time it comes down to him and, say, Matt Hardy. Hardy is climbing and gets his fingertips on the briefcase, but here comes JBL and he powerbombs Hardy, then assists Benjamin in climbing the ladder and securing the title shot. Benjamin then becomes JBL's handpicked protege en route to Benjamin becoming Smackdown champion.

i think benjamin would make a decent heel champion, as far as i'm concerned, right now an ecw title reign would do benjamin alot of good.
wwe have made a smart move in putting benjamin in a feud with kofi kingston, who is over with the ecw crowd. if benjamin can get a decent reaction from the crowd through this feud, then i can see him possibly getting a shot at the ecw title.
he needs to improve a bit of his mic skills, but he has all the in ring talent to be any champion the wwe wants him to be.
I personally don't. I thought Shelton Benjamin was better off as a face who only spoke when someone forced him to. His mic skills and charisma as a heel don't match up to others like Edge and Randy Orton IMO. He can be a good champion, but as a bad guy....I don't see it,
Also, I don't think a partnership with JBL would be good for him. JBL (in character) is a user, and the last time he had proteges, they were all under him.
JBL taking in anyone for training is like taking singing lessons from Vanilla Ice. But yes, he has a very good chance at being a good heel champion, heck face or heel, he can be a good champion. He's talented in the ring and on the stick, It's just that the WWE has yet to find his spot.
i dont really get why your using jbl to ensure his help to benjamin on smackdown seeing he is on raw and not a champion..... but yes shelton has been underused his whole career on raw he is an amazing athlete
