Happy ain't the word to use. It is totally inadequate. Sublime doesn't quite describe it either. "Happy as a hound dog with a coon up a tree " comes pretty close. " Happy as a possum eating persimmons " is even closer. " As happy as my wife when the dance is over because the dance is over " pretty much describes how I feel about finally reaching Seniorhood.

I'm proud I've lived this long. I don't know if I can honestly say I'm proud. But then I wouldn't want to be 50 again and live through what i did. So. I guess yea, I am proud to be a senior. Hey, I enjoy that 10% discount. HA Donya and I are the same age 2nd

I'm proud of being a senior, heck all of us at an age to be called a senior should be proud of it. Just stop and think what we've seen in our lives. Baby Boomers have seen an awful lot not all of it good, but I bet you can like me find a lot to remember that is really good. We have survived the bad, and hopefully knew enough to enjoy the good. We can pass on to our grandkids tidbits of truths they will never see in print. We were there, we saw it. Who would have ever dreamed in say 1950, that on day we could be sitting at home and talking to people all over on a computer. Computers? Are those the things that it takes up whole rooms sometimes whole buildings? Color TV, cable, wireless phones that you can drop in your pocket. Cars that can park themselves. (I know thats really new). Food you can cook in minutes in microwaves. Medical advances, no more polio, heart transplants, kidneys, lungs, livers. Pills that help keep us functioning for many years passed what was the norm at our time of birth. Rockets, space shuttles, a lab in space. Some wierd little thing digging holes on Mars.
Yeah, I'm proud of being a senior even if my grandson can sure make be feel old when he says things like, "Did they have that when you were young?"

The only gripe I have is, if I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself. Yes I am a happy senior, got a few health issues but they are under control. I love being retired, getting up each day and deciding what I will and won't do, best of all, I have a new wife and we are very happy and content with each other. All and all, life is good.

Yes i am happy being the age i am, all the children grown up, and now able to watch the grandchildren growing up, i love looking after them, and watching and hearing the funny things they say and do. I do have some health problems but to me that is just part of getting older, (you start falling apart ha ha) but apart from having them it is nice just to do what you want to do and when you want to do them, and being a widowed at a youngish age for just over 17 years i am my own person, of course there are times when i get lonely without someone, but my family keep me active as i help them by baby sitting, and even though im the age i am in my early 60s inside i do not feel much older than when i got married, and i think if you can do your best to stay young at heart (which i am) then life is wonderful
