How are all images perfectly resized (cropped) to 75X75 in FLICKR. Please help me with the Logic?

Please click any users profile there you will find the image they have uploaded. All of them are of same size and without any loss of clarity. How is this done programaticcaly. Please help me.

There are server side applications that preform this. I would imagine something like Photoshop's resize ability done and stored on cache, or on the fly.
