So here is the situation. I am flying into Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport with Cathay Pacific at 11:55pm. I have to connect to a Thai Airways domestic flight but the next available flight is at 7:45am the next morning. I am too cheap to find a hotel (poor college student) and I think it will be a waste for sleeping only for 5-6 hours. I have never had to sleep in an airport before so here are the questions.
Where exactly should I sleep? I have to pick up my luggage because I have to change airlines and I heard there was a place to drop off your luggage so if any one knows of a good place to sleep at this airport it would be great. If you could be sorta specific as to which level or which hall (arrival/departure) etc.

First of all, double check your domestic flight to be sure that your flight leaves from the same airport. Most, but not all of Thai Airway's domestic flights leave from Don Muaeng Airport, about 45 minutes away from Suvarnabhumi. If you do leave from Suvarnabhumi, try to check in for your morning flight so you won't have to worry about your luggage and can access (by showing your boarding pass) the departure area where it's a more secure and quieter place to sleep. If you aren't able to check-in, there are left luggage counters where you can leave your bags. There aren't too many good places to sleep before the departure area, but there about 10 rows of seats on the far end of the airport past Meeting Area C on the arrival's level. If you do need to change airports, take a taxi there and repeat most of the above steps, good luck. http://www.bangkokairportonline.com/node/134
A few padded seats in the arrivals area, and the Thai Airways economy lounge sounds good: http://www.sleepinginairports.com/asia/bangkok.htm and http://www.sleepinginairports.com/list.asp?region=6&country=Thailand&city=Bangkok&terminal=Suvarnabhumi
Use your bag as a pillow, so it doesnt get stolen. The key is to sleep in an area where there are some people around (so you dont get mugged, raped etc) but not where there is too much noise waking you up.
I usually go about 10-20 meters from a hub area and sleep between two rows of seats, out of the way of everyone else. KEEP YOUR BELONGINGS CLOSE!
i'm uncertain what the present concern is, yet there was once a regulation that a passenger who had a layover of greater beneficial than 8 hours on a international flight had to be allowed a voucher for a inn room. i got here across this by using twist of destiny whilst i replaced into on my way from China to Pittsburgh and had an prolonged layover in long island. i replaced into exhausted and asked a Northwest airlines worker a query. She mentioned, "Wait right here." Then she have been given me a voucher and informed me the place to watch for the holiday bus. i'm nevertheless grateful for this easy act of kindness.
umm you should sleep in a chair facing one of the big windows in the airport. Theyare usually right by the check-in desk. no one usually sits there. buy a hat and tip it over your eyes a little. TUCK your lggage under your chair or wrap it around you somehow ncase anyone tries to steal it.
