Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?
Warning - spoilers!
I just watched this recently, and a thought occurred to me: Indy (and his dad) both drank from the Holy Grail in "The Last Crusade", right? So shouldn't they have been immortal?
I don't think this was addressed in the movie. His dad had died, and Indy had aged (even commenting on this with Mac at the beginning). But they didn't even refer to the Grail at all, did they?

I think they said it someplace in the 3rd movie that you would have to keep drinking from the cup every day - one cup would not make you immortal forever - look at the 3 brothers (the knights), 2 had died, and only one was left to guard the cup. He told them that was the price you pay - if you want to live forever, the cup had to stay within the seal - that means drinking from it every day. If you left the area, you would stop drinking from the cup and die like normal people.
im so uninterested in this question im gonna answer it for the final time ever. whilst Indiana Jones 4 first got here into production the determination became made to make it placed up international conflict 2. Nazis have been constantly after issues God made. They believed that if that they had the Grail, or the Ark in front of their military as they marched, they could be invincible. properly Spielberg, Ford, and Lucas have been uninterested in telling the same old tale. so they did Russians. Now, think of relating to the 1950's what became between the main important mysteries on the time? Roswell New Mexico unidentified flying merchandise crash. then on spectacular of that, section fifty one and the mysteries nevertheless unknown immediately On spectacular of that, The strains in the airborne dirt and dirt in Peru that some say are alien landing strips. On spectacular of that. Did extraterrestrial beings help build the pyramids? Thats what Crystal cranium became approximately.
My understanding from the third movie was that the price of immortality was that they could never pass beyond the great seal with the grail. Since they did so, immortality was removed from them.
Just as well...it seems like immortality would be more of a curse than a blessing.
OK that crossed my mind too, since i re-watched all the movies before seeing the 4th one.... I dont think the grail makes you live forever, but gives you a much longer life, unless you keep drinking from it.. Also I think maybe since they broke the seal in the 3rd one, and left that temple, it didnt last. I think they would have had to stay there. But yeah I dont know for sure It never does totally explain it.
