Does anyone have a good peach cobbler or peach crisp recipe?

Does anyone have a recipe for peach cobbler or crisp? I use to have one that called for fresh peaches. The batter was put in the pan, then the peaches on top. When it was done baking, the batter would rise to the top and would be really crispy. It tasted so good, but can't find the recipe. So, if you have one like that can you send it to me? I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance. Have a great day.

Peach Cobbler
4 cups peeled, sliced peaches
2 cups sugar, divided
1/2 cup water
8 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
1 1/2 cups milk
Ground cinnamon, optional

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Combine the peaches, 1 cup sugar, and water in a saucepan and mix well. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat.

Put the butter in a 3-quart baking dish and place in oven to melt.

Mix remaining 1 cup sugar, flour, and milk slowly to prevent clumping. Pour mixture over melted butter. Do not stir. Spoon fruit on top, gently pouring in syrup. Sprinkle top with ground cinnamon, if using. Batter will rise to top during baking. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes.

To serve, scoop onto a plate and serve with your choice of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

The recipe I use is:
1 stick of butter
1 cup milk
1cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 lg can peaches (or cherry pie filling, or any other kind of fruit you'd like to use)

In a casserole dish, melt butter. In a mixing bowl, mix milk, sugar and flour. Pour into casserole dish with butter. Pour fruit onto flour/sugar mixture. DO NOT STIR. Bake at 375 til golden brown.

There's one on allrecipes.com called Southern Peach Cobbler by Amy Posey. If you don't want to use fresh peaches, I recommend the bottled Del Monte peaches it faster and looks hard but very easy to make. Hope you like it.

Sounds like a peach version of the french desert "Clafoutis"-the link below will take you to a plum version which would work with peaches too.
