Did Satan make the Great Barrier reef appear to be half a million years old?

But the LIVING part is EXACTLY 6000 years old.

In other words, EXACTLY when God created it!

Doesnt this even amaze Athiest science-worshippers?

Why cant you see that Satan made the dead bits to confuse Mankind?

"Sea level on the Great Barrier Reef has not risen significantly in the last 6,000 years. ]The CRC Reef Research Centre estimates the age of the present, living reef structure at 6,000 to 8,000 years old."

I really can't tell if you're being serious, and it's rather scary to consider the possibility that you might in fact be serious.

So what is it? 6000 years, 8000 years or something in between? Or is the live part only a few decades old? Condemned out of your own keyboard.

Why do the estimates of the Biblical date of creation vary so much among Biblical scholars? Bishop Ussher calculated 4004 BC, Jewish scholars, whose claim to the Old Testament is better than that of Christians have put the year at 3760BC. Other estimates from the same material go back as far as 5503BC.

These dates might seem superficially similar, but a closer look shows that they vary wildly. The difference between 3760 and 5503 is 1743, almost a 40% variation on the mean. Since the dates have been calculated in part from the very clear ages given for the patriarchs in Genesis, the variation in calculation is even more astounding.

The ages of these patriarchs allows me to calculate the date of the Great Flood as about 2358BC taking Ussher’s estimate, or 2114BC from the Jewish estimate.

Now quite independently of Bishop Ussher and Jewish historians it is possible to calculate the date of the completion of the Great Pyramid in Egypt at a few decades before 2520BC and of the Step Pyramid of Djoser as not long before 2650BC. These dates are supported by a few lines of evidence, not including carbon dates. Thus the Great Flood must have happened after these pyramids were built, but the old Egyptians did not notice that they had all been drowned and kept on building pyramids for quite a while.

I've seen a few of your questions by jingo, and by jingo if I don't think you are trolling.

People need to take off the blindfold and ask a simple question: Who was around half a million years to know? Scientist rely on machines which were made by man who is fallible. In addition , scientists do not agree with each other. Of course many scientists are evolutionists and thus do not believe in creation. The people who believe in creation push the 6000 year old earth idea. Whether it is half a million years or 6000 years, all of these are guesstimates. Man does not control time, nor is he smart enough to know the ways or thoughts of God.Man is so smart and can tell the age of the Great Barrier Reef. How is it that they have not discovered the depth of the Tongue of the Ocean?

No it isn't. Coral polyps certainly do not live that long.

Why do theists just up and assert stuff like that?

Sea levels after the last ice melt stabilized about 7000 years ago, this affected which portion of the reef could support coral colonies. (the sea level rise also caused the inundation of the Black Sea, giving rise to the flood myths of the middle east)
