October Supprise? Do you think it can happen?

Our Dem congress has handed Bush almost $400 Billion, which he signed and cashed the check yesterday to continue covert military actions against Iran. Consensus is: Bush plans to declare war on Iran in October 2008, weeks before the November elections for the purpose of reinforcing war sentiment and making John McCain the popular candidate. Do you think the majority of American will fall for it?

Ok A99, but it wasn't the Israeli who handed Bush another $400 bil to wage war, my question is will this bring out enough voters in November who want the current administration's policies for another four years?

Won't happen...Looks like Israel will beat us to the punch.
Edit
That is your answer. Israel will go to war with Iran before the end of the year if they don't stop there nuclear program. If that happens we will have to help Israel and who knows what that would do to the outcome of the election.

The point is...it will Not be an October Surprise from Bush or the Republicans.

The entire exercise is a ripoff. Iran could have a stack of nukes and it wouldn't do then a bit of good. Nukes aren't 'usable' as long as the other guy has them as well. If you fire off a nuclear missile, let say at Israel, Israel fires back...Mutual Assured Destruction...MAD! The Iranians haven't been in business for 5,000 years because they're dumb. They may talk tough, as did Saddam. But while they have the doghouse, they have no dog and if they do have a 'dog' they know enough to keep it on a leash. My take on this is that George Bush, the Stooge-In-Chief, is involved with crazy people......military action won't deal with Iran/US relations...it will only create an unsolvable situation. My hope is that the US military simply won't obey an order to get involved in a 3rd war when the first two are already going down the tubes. Why the Bush Junta wants to do this, if they do want to do this, is a major mystery....there's no logical reason. As the military most likely will balk at any overt military action, and Bush can't make them, there will be no 'war'. If the generals are as nutty as Bush, then we're in for it. My bet is on 'no war', but I could be wrong...please tell me I'm not! No kiddin'!

Yes, seeings how Cheney has been saying Bomb Iran for five years, and then that memo that Cheney wrote to Israel to have them bomb Iran so the USA can come to their rescue. Then the spy that got caught last month in Iran, the one that blew up the School in Iran.

Then today the White House said that it was sending some of our focuses into Iran. Bush said he didn't believe the intelligence report that said Iran quit making any nukes

Ad it all up and I'm sure Bush will attack Iran and no one is going to stop him.

82 % Americans already oppose the war and this the primary reason why Bush is so unpopular therefore starting a war with iran will ensure Obama's victory in Nov

Its not Bush, its the Israelis. They are pretty fed up with the Iranians threatening to blow them off the face of the earth.
