vegas is AMAZING! i've been SO MANY times since i was like 4 to now [i'm 18]

i just got back 2 weeks ago with my 21+ friends, i could do everything they could do [except bars and gamble at tables which i don't know how to do anyway!] and it was a blast.

if you're going with family, there's tons of sights to see. when i went with fam, we would always walk into diff hotels.. see the decorations and SHOPS! circus circus has a carnival type of arcade plus an indoor amusement park. excalibur has a carnival type of arcade as well. new york new york has an arcade plus a roller coaster which was fun!

just walking around the strip [to me] is just a blast.. i LOVE the atmosphere! ahh i can go on forever about how much i love it and i'm not even 21 yet! once you go, you'll want to come back! so i hope you have fun.. take LOTS of pictures because there are sooo many things to strike a pose in front of haha have fun!

The Luxor is a cool hotel to stay at, in a suite no less.
They are changing out all the Egyptian decor though. Last time I went, late last year, they had already removed some of it, and put up a bunch of stuff in their gift shops on clearance.
But, anyway, if you're 16, it might not be as fun as you want it to be. Because you're in that in-between age, too old for kids stuff, but too young to party, drink, gamble, stay out very late, etc.
But I'm sure you can still find fun things to do. It all depends on what kind of things you like to do.
There are all sorts of free shows to go see. Do you have money to spend? There are expensive shows out there, such as Cirque du Soleil, and there are a number of exhibits for you to pay and see.
Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, the Titanic exhibit, I think it's now at the Luxor, or at least it was going to be moved there from the Tropicana, Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum at the Venetian.
The M&M store is fun to see.
And many of the hotels are good places to walk through, many with shopping malls of their own.

i just got back from vegas a few days ago and i couldn't drink or gamble either (i'm 20), but i still had so much fun! i suggest you get a power pass (visiticket.com) it will save you a ton of money and you can do everything listed at your age. vegas is like any other big city, but it seems there is a lot more to do. you will see bums and lots of porno and drinking and smoking, but its easy to ignore. it adds to the experience. definately check out the bellagio fountains--those are soo beautiful! just walking down the strip is awesome because of all the lights and stores. the energy of vegas is great, there is always something going on so you will never get bored, even staying 5 days like i did. just be sure to bring enough money! have fun!

Well, all of the hotels you have chosen are reasonably close to eachother and are at the south end of the strip, perhaps that is why you chose them. MGM Grand is one of my favorite hotels, I absolutely love that hotel. The rooms were amazing and comfortable, and most importantly (to me) the rooms didn't smell like smoke. The pool is amazing, the restaurants are great. I have never really seen any celebrities there except for Kurt Thomas and I assuming he was in Vegas because he was traded the day before :) It is the the last stop on the monorail on the south end and quickly connects you to the rest of the strip. New York New York has an amazing casino. I love everything about the ground floor. I have heard the rooms tend to be smaller at this hotel. Mandalay Bay is amazing. One of the Southern most strip hotels with mini monorail connecting to Luxor and Excalibur. The hotel in its entirety is amazing. Good pool. Luxor gives me vertigo, I will probably never stay there. But the clubs are good. LAX is popular for celebrity sitings. You may even see Carrot Top on any given day! : ) My pick: MGM grand!

Lots of bright lights. Alot of people. Thats just on the strip though. the actually city behind the strip is very normal. But the strip gets pretty crazy. Wish you were older so you can really enjoy what Vegas has to offer. But there will still be alot for you to see. Every hotel has a different experience to offer. It's gonna be som much different than what you imagine.
