Purple stain on linoleum floor - Help!!?
I had a linoleum (rolled sheet, not individual peel and stick) installed in my kitchen and bathroom about three years ago. The previous floor covering was completely removed, but I have no idea what prep was done prior to the installer laying the new floor covering. Several months ago, I noticed a purplish stain near my dishwasher. A few weeks later, I noticed a similar stain behind the toilet in the bathroom (the kitchen wall where the dishwasher is shares a wall with the tub, toilet, and sink in the bathroom). I don't know what the stain is. I have tried scrubbing it with Comet, I have tried hot soapy water. I can't get the stain to remove AND it seems as though it is GROWING which leads me to believe it might be mildew or even mold. The stain looks like spilled grape soda or something on the floor, but, like I said, it has grown (and I have no one living in the house with me so I know nothing has been spillled on it). Realistic suggestions on removing stain PLEASE.
I have tried 100% bleach, I have tried Comet, I have tried Soft Scrub ... nothing works. HELP.
Well, some serious answers would be nice. There is no water leak, contrary to one response about the stain being near water. If you even bothered to read my original question, that's a no brainer and you answered the question for nothing. For whomever said Oxyclean -- get real ... oxyclean doesn't work, bleach doesn't work. I am guessing this is just a ridiculous place to get some real answers. Unless you have a true and real LEGITIMATE option for me to try, don't post. Seriously -- don't do it for points.
