No, I feel decidedly less safe. And, make no mistake about it, it's not just people with Arab-sounding names who are being harassed. The names John Williams, David Nelson, Robert Johnson and James Moore are on the list and they are referring to no one in particular--if that's your name, you get stopped and, in many cases, detained and questioned for hours. You think I'm kidding? Look it up. Not to mention the names of anyone who writes a negative book--or article or gives lectures--questioning Bush's tactics are on the list. They even had Ted Kennedy on it and still have Nelson Mandela and, get this, Saddam Hussein and 1/2 of the high-jackers who they say died on the planes on 9/11! Way to water down the list so people don't notice how ridiculous it is. Fascism anyone?
Hey, tinymok, no one cares when you call them terrorist. It's about like a 3 year old calling somebody a 'poopyhead'. We do care that our names are on such an unconstitutional list. The fact that this list does not bother you (that you applaud it) makes your opinion even less relevant.
How many people have died in all terrorist attacks in the last century? Now, how many people have died in automobile accidents? So, generally speaking, how much danger were we ever really in? About the same as getting eaten by a shark perhaps. Or killed by a gang of pygmy goats.
