Is it ok to drink iced tea while pregnant?

I was addicted to Mt.Dew before I knew I was pregnant, and decided to switch to iced tea...is this better then drinking soda? I have heard that pregnant woman shouldn't drink green tea, but is just regular iced tea ok? (like Raspberry Iced Tea from Snapple- my fave! lol)

not sure if regular tea is safe, i think it is but remember tea tends to have caffeine too, so if that's why you dropped Dew you may want to look closed at your iced tea

Iced Tea And Pregnancy

mama to 2 with one on the way!!!2008-07-17T10:24:42Z

I have drank iced tea through my entire pregnancy and have had no problems at all and they think my son is going to be around 9 lbs. I am 38 weeks and i have also drank green tea i only drink diet and make sure it is either caffeine free or has a VERY minute amount of caffeine. Most all teas will have a caffeine gauge somewhere on the bottle or box. Tea is much better than drinking sugary sodas all the time. I also drink alot of flavored water but none of these new ones with added caffeine or odd ingredients for fitness. Enjoy your tea guilt free hun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My doctor gave me permission to drink Green Tea while pregnant. She told me to drink this instead of coffee.

Regular iced tea still has caffeine in it, but it's only about 30 mg a cup compared to about 100 mg a cup for coffee. Tea is better than drinking Mountain Dew.
