I am 15 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Up until now, I've been ok with my regular clothes, but lately all my pants are starting to feel really tight and uncomfortable around the waist. I'm showing a little. Most people can't notice it through my clothes but my husband and I do. My question is will I fit into maternity pants this early or will they be just to big? I wanted to see if I could do some shopping today. My shirts are still fine on me, but its the pants that are making me really uncomfortable! I have no clue about maternity clothes at this point! Please help me!

There is not a standard day or week that you should start. Definately if your clothes are fitting tighter you should start looking and wearing comfortable and looser style waist bands. I am preg. with my 2nd. I am 12 weeks and have been wearing maternity clothes for 2 weeks. I have grown quickly even though I have lost 2 lbs. Figure that huh? Anyway - I love love love maternity pants. Motherhood maternity has the secret belly fit. You should definatley try these because they are very very comfortable - at least I think so. Good luck to you and I hope you have a healthy happy baby!!!
I noticed the same thing about that time. No-one could really tell I was showing at all but I knew my waist was different. I went to Old Navy.com and I got some maternity pants in my regular size with a rollover band. They work for the whole 9 months because the rollover band eventually can roll up over a big preggo belly. But in the beginning they are really comfortable and cute. Oldnavy.com also has low rise cuts and others that work for the beginning of a pregnancy and beyond. (Most stores do, but ON.com is cheap)
Have a look: http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/category.do?cid=5848
There are stores that carry maternity clothes too but sometimes I find that a lot of it is limited selection and pricy. Online is your best bet for variety and economical prices. Gap, Old Navy, JC Penney, Target have more online than in the stores. Just buy your regular size for now. You're not going to outgrow that until the very end and even then, you dont even know how bg you are going to carry with your first pregnancy. Im still wearing the maternity pants I bought at 12 weeks and I am 7 1/2 months pregnant now.
EDIT: I disagree with the above answerer. I find OldNavy fits really well for me. Different stores fit different people in different ways. The cut might not suit you but it might suit others. I find the Old Navy and Bisou Bisou brands at JC Penney are fashionable, flattering and I would wear them afterwards.
My advice don't waste your money their too expensive and you only wear them for a few months and then if you buy anything that is in style you wont want to use them again I'm 36 wks and haven't bought any maternity clothes alot of what they have in stores today look and fit like maternity and you can use them after you give birth
but since your going to be pregnant in the winter I do recommend that you get at least 2 maternity jeans from motherhood they have the cheapest the gap is just ridiculous and old navy doesn't fit or look right
I was a size 2 pre-pregnancy and I looked everywhere for maternity pants that didn't have a huge waist and sag in the butt. Don't waste your time by going to wal-mart or k-mart b/c even their smalls are really big. I found pants that fit me at target. Liz Lange brand. Instead of being sizes S M L, they have size 2, 4, 6, etc.. A lot of times they will have a clearance rack too! Go to target.com and check it out before you go. I have not bought a lot of maternity shirts b/c babydoll tops are in style anyway and you can just get those and be able to wear them next year. (if you are not too sick of looking at them.) Anyway, good luck and Congrats!
Hi, I'm 16wks with 2nd baby, Same as you my tops are fine, but I'm feeling very uncomfortable in my pants. So I took out maternity clothes from Dd - they are still too baggy esp between the legs and bum, but they feel waaaay more comfortable than my normal clothes. Maybe take a look in the shops and try some stuff on, but don't buy too much now coz when you get bigger you'll have to buy more. another tip : I've been using a bellyband - they're great coz they cover your bump and you can leave the top buttons of your pants open ! HTH :)
