Is there a way to find our if someone has a warrent out for their arrest?

The reason why I'm asking (trust me its a good one) Is that I loaned a "friend"money to bail him self out of jail, thinking that he would go to court and have my bail money returned. But the jerk missed his court date and my bail was forfeited. I know he still has a warrant out, but I want to make sure. I am thinking about turning his butt in so he learns a lesson.

Please give only real answers, if you do not know don't answer. I am not looking to be ripped apart by you people.Thank you.

Yeah but would that have to be county, or town/local police?

Yes. Call your local Sheriff's office, ask for the warrants division, and tell them his name and DOB. They will be able to run him on the national crime database, NCIC, and tell you if your friend has a warrant.

*edit: for the one who said call the prosecutor's office, I am a prosecutor, and this is what i would tell you to do if you called me. ;)

Call the prosecutors office.

Either can produce the information.
