Yes, but it depends on your age. If your only about 12 then you should go into a modeling agency if your interested in that type of career. To become a model for most brands, you have to be discovered in a modeling agency. Hollister, Abercrombie, and Abercrombie and Fitch, you can sign up on the website. Although, you have to be 18 or older and already working in their store. Pacsun, you can also do a small modeling thing where you tell about yourself and how pacsun clothing reflects your lifestyle. If you're 5'0 and you are 15, then it will make it very hard for you to get into a modeling career.

You can be a model if you're 1 foot fall, 9 feet tall, 50 pounds, or 200 pounds. It all depends on which type of model you want to do, and quite frankly how pretty you are. (The only exception is runway which generally looks for an exagerated cheek bone and very skinny women.) The reality of the situation is that you will never walk down a runway at under 5'7 at least. You can however look into editorial and commerical modeling. If you plan on making a portfolio I suggest getting some great head shots because ultimatley that is where you will be making your money at such a short height.
P.S: I saw the behind the scenes look at Americas Next Top Model and they wont let you through the door for try outs if you aren't up to the 5'7 mark they have on the wall.

Shannon R is nice - There are petite fashions I modeled for a couple of minutes and that i'm actually 5ft 6 there have been women human beings a lot shorter than me that were getting a multitude of modeling jobs on the corporation that signed me also your height wont count when you're doing Hair shows, makeup modeling or rings modeling or something commercial Plus photographers have tricks to make you seem taller besides reckoning on the angles & the mild My portfolio pictures made me seem very nearly 6ft tall - LOL ok it really is exaggerating slightly yet I did look a lot a lot taller in my images - atleast 5ft 9 besides dont enable every person allow you to recognize that it cant be executed because it may except for runway ofcourse until eventually there's a Petite Runway prepare which there alright would nicely be good success

I was wondering the same thing. I am 18 and think it would be cool to be a model but only 4 11 1/2 without shoes. But unfortunately I think you have to be 5'6 or taller.

yeah you can a model friend of mine is 4'8" (she's 20, and she got five jobs already) and gorgeous to become allete then yeah you have to be tall but to be an average model no. I'm a thirteen year old graduated trained professional model, and I know how it works...it doesn't matter how tall you are as long as your pretty and sweet nothing else matters, okay? people don't believe me but i am a model and I was just recently in the westmoreland mall fashion show for rue21, and now I'm doin a prom fashion show for the robinson mall, it should be great I love pretty dresses.
