Is it possible for a Muslim woman to be a model, or does that go against Islam?

    I think it depends!

My mother is a designer and they sometimes hold shows for ladies only and photography is not allowed. My sister also once modeled for a Hijab show where again there were only women present and cameras were not allowed! I don't think there's anything wrong with this sort of modeling but modeling where men can see you will be wrong and against the concept of modesty for women.

It's possible technically, but it goes against the basic principles of Islam.

I know you are a convert and I will never tell you to leave Islam... If you want to become a model then you can be a model, it will be considered as something sinful but who knows God might forgive you in the end and you will probably still be able to make it to heaven.

The worst Muslim is still 10 billion times better than the best non-muslim/disbeliever. So, stick with Islam until the last breath of your life. I will not advise you to become a model but if you want to then its your choice. Just make sure you die as a Muslim.

You will have to catwalk,or be photographed,in any attire that you are asked to.Basically you have to project the designers creation on your person to make it attractive to others.Well, such show of female body is not allowed in islam.

Most of everything that is harmless fun is against islam,Showing off the beauty that is the human body is "bad" somehow so its forbidden in islam.I know you muslims will go "men look at women in a sinful way" well what about male models? Oh wait you probably think they are camp men or something. Modelling is haram in islam because its haram for a women to show off her body in islam,You shouldn't be surprised though islam is extremely stupid.

It is shameful for a woman to show beauty of her face or curves of her body.

Islam gives a respectable place to woman, as daughter, sister, wife

and mother. She is looked upon as a person and not a collection of

    attractive parts.

Never think of modelling if you are a Muslim.

Assalamu alaykum Allah permits a Muslim woman to be a model as long as she wears hijab in demonstrating the new model of fashion. But if she does not wear hijab so she is demonstrating her auwrat or privy parts, she is not allowed or haram in Islam to become a ,model just like that.

salaam brother. truthfully we MUST and Have to comply with best Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a position mannequin. Because he used to be the messenger of Allaah, no longer the sahabis. Yes, we will be able to possibly purpose to do well deeds because the sahabis did however finally our ONE and ONLY position mannequin is Rasool Allaah (peace be upon him).

I would say yes, though only because the other gender will stare at you and because you are wearing inappropriate clothing
