Anyone have experience with AT&T Yahoo DSL setting up a LAN using a Linksys router?

It's a Motorola modem and Linksys BEFSR41 wired 4 port router. With everything wired up correctly as per the instructions I cannot get an internet connection using the set-up disk or not. Therefore I cannot use my browser to get into the routers settings. I have an excellent internet connection with my computer connected directly to the modem. All connections are by Ethernet cables with standard RJ45 plugs. I'm just about at my wits end and am thinking about ordering a wired gateway from AT&T if that will solve my problem. I want my computer and PlayStation 3 on a network rather than swap cables which is what I'm doing now.

I should add that my OS is Vista Premium.

Turn off the Motorola, turn off the Linksys, unplug your pc's from the Linksys, turn them off. Make sure you have the cable that comes from the motorola and have in go into the WAN or Internet port on the Linksys. Your PCs go into the 4 Lan ports. Turn on the Motorola, wait for Sync light to be stable for Internet connectivity. Turn on the Linksys, wait 1 min, turn on your PC's. Typically, you do not need to setup anything from CD for the Linksys unless you are using PPPOE or Static IP addresses. In that case, you would probably be better of running the CD, but you can do it all from a web broswer, you can do that by opening the browser and putting in the IP address of the Linksys, it should be in some documentation you have.
