Sorry to hear that.

I don't think that Yahoo Answers! is responsible, considering that it is an open site. There's no way of doing background checks. If they were, they would also have to be responsible for the waste of space taken up by unclear, irrelevant, malicious, insulting, degrading...etc. questions and answers. You might enter your concern on the Forum.

Best you can do right now is to run your A/V and spy ware. If you have a good one, it should have caught that in real time and allowed you to abort the connection without allowing the virii. But in any case take a good look at cotojo's answer.

Whenever I'm unsure of a site, I type it into Google search. Many times there will be a note, "This site may harm your computer", but not always.

Sadly there are many idiots spamming with links to 1001 answers which contains a link to Antivirus 208, which A programs will NOT remove as it is a malicious codec which comes back, use the following:

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

Download, install, update and select Full Scan.
Remove all infections that it finds after scan.

Spybot S&D:

Download, install, update and Immunize, then click 'Check for problems' then when complete select all and then 'Fix Checked'
