Pre-Algebra to Algebra 2?

Ok so I was placed into pre-algebra instead of Algebra 1 because of a few points! Is there any way that I could be bumped up to Algebra 2 when I go to high school?

at my school, you have to go to geometry after algebra one and then algebra two. but maybe it's different for you.no, you have to pass algebra 1 before you can go to algebra 2. there a lot of essential key points to algebra that you have to learn before you can delve deeper. if your mind is really set on being in an advanced class, then try to take some extra classes. but you have to pass algebra 1, that's for sure.

If you haven't taken Algebra 1 they are not going to put you into Algebra 2.

But if you are concerned about getting the right math credits for college before you graduate you can always look into taking a summer class either through your school district OR there are several universities that offer online classes. Texas Tech, The University of Texas, Nebraska-Lincoln, etc.

Just talk to your school counselor about it and figure out what the best road for you is.

Good Luck!~

most likely not unless you take algebra 1 in summer school. but then again, you're gonna have to take geometry before you can get to algebra 2. they're most likely gonna hold you accountable for not being in pre-algebra, but you could always ask about exceptions at the counselors' office. Good Luck!
