What are your thoughts on Sarah Palin as the next VP? This question is directed at those of you who just tuned in to watch her presentation speech. As for me.. i don't think i'd name my kids Willow or Piper.. but after watching her she presented confidence and inspiration. Her speech was magnificent. I believe McCain made the right choice. 101%

I think McCain made a great choice. Actually, both candidates did. For Obama, he chose someone who had what he kinda lacks. He chose a white male with lots of experience. McCain chose a woman (probably to steal Hillary supporters) and she also happens to be young, which McCain is not. Both were very smart with their picks. I'm excited to see how close this campaign will get.
"Strength & Experience" has been John McCain de facto message throughout this campaign. With the selection of Palin, they may have hurt that a little bit. Palin's political resume makes Barack Obama's resume look like an elder statesman.
I hope Palin wasn't chosen to attract Hillary Clinton supporters, or because she is so much younger than McCain, because of age issues. If either of these contributed to the decision, then Selecting Palin would be more like exploitation. I hope she was picked because of issues.
I have long said that McCain would need Romney to win, due to the tanking economy, and executive experience. Palin lacks the experience that Romney would have brought, or that Pawlenty would have brought, or Ridge, or any other candidate.
McCain obviously picked her for a reason; time will tell whether her lack of experience will hurt her.
I was suprised and laughed. Honestly, she doesn't speak to women. She hunts, fishes and is part of the NRA. Hmm that sounds girly! She's only been in politics for 2 years and if mccain wins, and if he dies while he is in office (it is very possible) she would not make a very good president because she has basically no experience. Oh yeah and she's under investigation. That's always great... Hiliary supporters will most likely lean to obama. I am glad that she was nominated as VP because she is a women but i don't think she was the best chose.
Depends on why he chose her. If it was to go after the Hillary supporters, then its a bad move. She is Pro Life and they won't like that.
As for being unexpected, no it wasn't. She has been talked about this for quite a while. It was either her, Romney, or Lieberman. Libermans in an IND with Dem leanings and McCain hates Romney.
this woman has absolutely NO experience. 2 years ago, she was the mayor of a tiny town in Alaska of all places, and she's been their governor for only 2. She also was in multiple beauty pagents. If McCain passes, do you really want her as the president?
