Do I need a EHIC?? France!! in 15 days!!?

I already have travel insurance that covers everything except pre existing stuff... do I still need the ehic... I leave in 15 days...

Is it advisable to carry one? Yes.
Are you required to have one to be allowed to travel? No.
Can you receive medical care without one? Yes
Can you be reimbursed despite not having one? Yes
