I do not like Autumn- give me reasons to like it?

I hate the shorter days, cooler temperatures and the prospect of winter. Besides the holidays coming up, what is good about this time of year?

I love Autumn! I like the crisp nights and the warm days. I love the leaves changing colors. I love sitting by an outside fire on a chilly night and bring out some hot chocolate. I like decorating for fall, and Halloween. I like that you can start making hearty foods again, like stews, chili. I love going to an apple orchard and picking my own apples, and making a yummy apple pie, or Carmel apples. I like that you can attend a football game and cuddle up under a blanket. I like that you can cozy up on the couch and catch up on some movies because you were too busy outside in the summer to watch them. I love getting the final harvest from the garden, and attending festivals like the Renaissance festival, or Okotober Fest. There is so much to enjoy about Fall.

Autumn prepares plants for winter stratification. All plants need to rest and store up its food for the following spring growth. Leaves drop off deciduous trees providing natures compost for other young and growing plants. Worms and other compost decaying organisms thrive on this delicious dinner.

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.

Autumn is my favorite season. Bright sunny days, cool nights, dry weather, beautiful trees.

1 - It's not yet winter
2 - Fewer bugs
3 - The sky can be the most incredible blue in Autumn
4 - It's not so hot anymore, making it a great time to work or play outdoors
5 - It's not yet winter.

I know I repeated "not yet winter", but to me that's the best part of fall!

You are not going to have autumn until next year and that's should be comforting.
