Abortion debate in parenting section?

Who's in favor of moving the abortion debate out of Pregnancy and Parenting and into Politics and Government? I'm pro-life, most of my close friends are pro-choice, and we understand where our basic difference of opinion lies, and let it lie there. I know when I come to P&P I don't come here for big political debates, I come for baby talk. Please tell me someone out there agrees with me.

Hey, to everyone who's debating whether or not the abortion debate (not info on aborting pregnancies, which would go in pregnancy, but whether or not it should be legal) should be moved, good job and interesting responses!

To everyone who's debating the legality or morality of abortion, knock it off already! You're off topic, so make your own question in Politics and stop hijacking mine!

I did say that abortion questions relating to an actual pregnancy should stay here in the last edit. It's only random guys posting "Why you kill babies?" that don't belong here.

I most definitely agree. The abortion debate isn't a question of parenting, it's a question of human rights and law. I completely agree. This is not a place where I want to be criticized about my political views. Also the fact that people are debating just that right now on this question is ridiculous! No one cares how you feel about abortion, we should just move it to a more serious category.

Abortion belongs in this category. You have to be pregnant to get an abortion. People are only asking for advise. If you do not like abortion questions then why don't you all just scroll past them? Problem solved don't you think?

Why don't the adoption category go into the law section?

If it weren't for Pro-choice you would not be able to take birth control.
I am pro-choice and i have nothing against abortion.
Since you say you are Pro-life then maybe you should read this because it is from the pro-life website:
Again, if you're reading about CHEMICAL ABORTIONS for the first time, this may surprise, or even shock you. Most Americans are not aware that the Pill and other chemical "contraceptives" cause millions of "non-surgical" abortions each year in the early weeks of pregnancy. If you are using the Pill, Depo-Provera or Norplant, you need to know the truth about how these products work.

Most women take these "contraceptives" because they don't want to have a baby. But how many women know they can have BREAKTHROUGH OVULATIONS and become pregnant while using these "contraceptives?" Very few! And how many of these women know that if they become pregnant after a BREAKTHROUGH OVULATION, these "contraceptives" will almost always kill any son or daughter they've conceived?

Most people don't know the real facts about how "contraceptives" work. And because of this lack of knowledge, most women are not aware that they may be having BREAKTHROUGH OVULATIONS, and conceiving children that are killed very early in the pregnancy. Women using these "contraceptives" almost never perceive that they have become pregnant, or that chemicals have killed their tiny baby.

You can still conceive a child . . .

If you're using "birth control" products and you have a breakthrough ovulation that releases an egg, sperm can then reach and fertilize your egg. At that moment -- you would be pregnant! Fertilization means conception has taken place and you now have a brand new son or daughter who is as complete genetically as he or she will ever be throughout life.

Abortion isn't really parenting it is anti-parenting but it is the ending of a pregnancy so maybe there should be 2 sections one in the political part and 1 in the parenting. One for the debating and one for questions about abortions of pregnancies. i feel strongly against abortion myself as it is taking the life of someone who can't have a say unless there is an extreme medical reason which would turn out terribally for both it should never happen.

The trouble is abortion as sad as it seems is part of pregnancy and parenting this is why its posting here its still to be with a baby, therefore i cannot see Yahoo moving it else where, if you do not like questions to do with this subject don't answer them

Politics helps those topics and issues that generated money...
My idea is that moving it from Pregnancy and Parenting is not necessary and not a great idea...
May be morals will be on the rise in the future and produce better politicians who will demand for what you want(regarding this topic)...
