Can I sell a computer on ebay with freeware on it?

I am selling my computer on ebay. I have some free software installed, such as vlc player, openoffice, avg free, etc. Is this illegal in any way?

I've sold many laptops on Ebay. I advertise and state everything that is loaded on it. AVG/openoffice/VLC. I've never had any issues.

As long as you don't advertise those programs as though as they are a selling point then I wouldn't worry about it. Of course, the new owner did not agree with any service agreement that the programmer probably made you agree to when you installed it. If it makes you feel iffy then just delete those programs. I would wipe a computer clean if I brought it second hand anyway. Then I would reinstall what I wanted. I wouldn't trust the previous owner enough to leave stuff on there anyway. I brought a used cell phone off Ebay. The guy left pictures of his family and appointments on the date book. The first thing I did was erase everything.

This may be possible, but it would depend on the license agreements for those programs so you would have to review the licensing terms for those programs.

I would imagine that if it was installed on the computer it would probably be fine but it may be worth your while to double check on the product websites.

I think OpenOffice would be fine but I wouldn't know about about the others, I can't see they would cause any problems as you are not selling the software itself, you are just selling the computer which has the software on it, if that makes sense.

No way of combating it i'm afraid, all you're able to do is enter a extremely intense maximum bid with 20-30 seconds to pass and desire no one has entered an enhanced bid by way of between the sniping techniques. that's a real bidder sitting at their computing gadget you have now way of understanding to be honest. maximum oftentimes I do truthfully bid on the final minute, with around 20 seconds to pass. the rule of thumb with Ebay is in no way bid till the terrific hour on the earliest, very final minute in case you may desire to. in case you bid early it in simple terms bumps the value up (large for sellers). The public sale sniping techniques are ok yet you may desire to pass into your maximum bid early on and if 10 bidders all use them there's a intense possibility you will no longer win the object besides. I particularly tend to no longer use them if i will particularly be around for the tip of an public sale, I set my alarm to strike a cord in me! at the instant i do no longer oftentimes bid on auctions I particularly tend to choose for "purchase it now" yet once I do want to bid then i could use a sniping gadget on condition that i'm unlikely to be at homestead while the wide-unfold public sale ends. that's wager artwork what maximum bid to pass into and that i hate that i could extremely watch and see how issues progression. i'm merchandising 2 quite intense fee (optimistically) products proper now and one merchandise has 40 4 human beings watching the wide-unfold public sale yet has in simple terms the single bid this is the commencing value. The action will all ensue in the final hour and doubtless previous couple of seconds, some would be suitable "bidders" particularly on line and a few bids will come from sniping techniques, you may no longer particularly tell how the bid became placed.
