I have 2 Dell Dimensions 2400 that I am trying to get rid of. The hard drives have been removed but everything else is still in excellent condition. What would something like this be worth if I took it to a pawn shop?
These are the specs:
Processor: Intel Celeron 2.4 GHz processor, 400Mhz FSB (100MHzx4)
Chipset: Intel 845GV chipset
Videocard: Integrated Intel Extreme graphics
Sound: Integrated Soundmax Sound
Memory: 256MB PC-2700 DDR memory (one module)
Networking: Integrated 10/100 Ethernet
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 40GB ATA/100 7200RPM hard drive
CDROM: Hitachi 48X CD-ROM drive
Monitor: 19" Dell brand M992 monitor (max 1600x1200 @ 75Hz, .24 Dot pitch)

I currently have 110 computers for sale on ebay. Monitors aren't worth anything. Maybe 20 bucks. (everyone is switching to LCD) You might get 100 bucks out of them each. Pawn shops? bleh.. they usually give you 10 - 20 cents on the dollar. You might be able to get 50 bucks out of them if you're lucky at a power shop. (each)
You'd be better off building them (hard drive/operating system) and selling them locally. Put up some fliers in coffee shops, etc.. you should be able to get $150 - $200 each for them maybe a little more if you try to sell them locally. (put open office on them, etc.. load them up with freeware)
Good luck!

this is somewhat one hell of a deal what company is that this? I appeared up all the areas on NewEgg and extra them to my procuring cart (had to alter out that Liquid cooling for some thing else, and the flexibility furnish) even though it got here out to 885$ and not utilising a speaker equipment and with none of those loose additions. i could take it. To the different poster, the ATI Radeon HD 5770 isn't a foul card for gaming. To the OT, what style of video games will you be taking part in?

You'll get much more on eBay than from a pawn shop.
As someone said - maybe $300 each, but perhaps a bit less - $250?

Depending on your metropolitan area a pawn shop may give you anywhere from $100-$150 per computer.

I don't think they would be worth very much. If someone wants to buy parts for a comp. they would just build a really good one.
