Complete and utter nonsense?

I am not who we think you are.
I conserve your malcontent for them and
you harbor our misgivings for me.
They are we and you are them
and I am bloodletting
for us all.

Again
I am not a mirror
I am a buffer for you
And you are a receptacle of confusion
Those that you and I affect
And you become the mirror.
I only want to help us
begin again.

How many ways
can I say this?

For a poet, there is only two factors:
1- I ( as a poet), designates the independent state of an observer. and
2- Them or You (plural), designates the rest of the world.
The poet's senses and feelings is the buffer, in which the Them are merely explicit shadows. The poet's imagery becomes his Own mirror in which selected shadows( of Them) are formed as images and pictures, in a more coherent form to Him. The poet's talent draws those images into a poem, in which They see Themselves, each in his/her own way. Hence, the poem becomes the mirror of Them, but also of the poet's imagery and conception ( of Them).
That is my take on your poem.
Nice read!

Not complete and utter nonsense at all, though if read without paying attention, it sure could be seen as such.

To be brief, two words pop into my head. This explains 'mob mentality.' The how and why people can be 'made' to follow like sheep.
Too brief to make sense I fear but bottom line is.. I see truth.

I think Bird Flu, as with SARS is a big deal. Not here in the US...but there are huge outbreaks in other parts of the world. SARS just never made it to the US....thats why it disappeared in our media. Just hope Bird Flu is the same way. Just because its not here does not mean it nonsense in other parts of the world.

You are not one of the one's forming opinion although you are one.

Sounding board, a soulmate of some type, a friend, trying to begin again.

How many ways? Obtuse or straight up?

Interesting. That is my nonsense take, and I am not one of the ones! lol

Mag, how this poem hit me as to meaning? The voice is one who has been overused as a sounding board, a middleman by another and has grown tired of it, who is trying to tell this other that all perceptions of the issues, the other parties and themselves have become so volatile and warped, they both need to step back and see who is reflecting whom...the last line, how many ways?, is the image of two mirrors face to face that reflect an image innumerable times. At least, that is how it spoke to me, and very powerfully so.
