Property values are going to be dropping anyhow do to the housing market collapse and a sharp decrease in lending. However, that really won't effect much in the neighborhood surrounding the white house as the white house is surrounded by some pretty impoverished ghettos.

Apparently they are going to increase since so many people want to go to the Obama inauguration that all the hotels are booked solidly and tickets are being scalped on the internet.
If the property values drop, I guess the lobbyists are going to lose their money and their jobs with Obama in office and the Dems controlling both houses again.

Most of the property far around the white house is Federal Property, so no.
