Jeep Cherokee Tire Recommendations?

I'm shopping for a new set of tires for my 2000 Jeep Cherokee. I'm seeking recommendations for price, ride, and wear qualities from other Jeep owners. The rim size is 235 70R 16, and I prefer raised white letter. Thank you.

Had gooyear wrangler M/Ts on my TJ and they were gone in less than 10,000 miles. I know they're a softer tire, but way too fast for wear.

You don't say what your primary criteria is. Street, All terrain, or Off Road.

On my wrangler, I'm running BFG TA KMs for super offroad performance. They hold well on road and wear very well. Not much noise for an MT.

If you're looking for street tires, I've been a big fan of Firestones. I had Firestone Destination LEs on my 2000 xj and they were great. Good center tracking, turn performance and rain performance.

Stay away from Bridgeston Dueler ATs, I had a set that I look on a gravel road and popped within a day of purchasing. The Dueler MTs are good offroad only tires, but a bit pricey.

Check TireRack.com for selections and reviews. This will give you a good idea of cost and what other people are saying about the tire. You can search based on your vehicle application and/or specific tire size.
