Road Attack or Road Pilot 2?

Observe the bike in my avatar. It's time for tires. I don't do a lot of canyon racing any more. I'm a former racer, and I appreciate that my street bike of today is way better than my race bike of the 60s and 70s, so I'm happy with the performance. I don't like square-section tires, though, particularly after just a few miles and after I've paid nearly $400 a pair.

So, what do you think, and why? It would be really good if you'd actually ridden on the tires in question. Please tell me your bike, your experience on those tires, your style of riding, and your advice.

I have the Continental Road Attacks on my Buell Cyclone. I have nothing but good things to say about them. Warm, cold, wet and dry, they have never let me down. I have one season on them, and they are showing very slight center wear, but they still have a decent profile. They replaced another set of Continentals that were on it, but I don't remember what they were called. I have a set of Qualifiers on my gixxer that are showing signs of wear after only 1,000 miles or so. 99% of my riding is on the street, so should have seen if they had the Contis for that bike too.

I hope someone can give you some info about the other brands you are shopping.

I run Road Pilot 2 on my 97 VFR 750 - love these things. they do what I want, open road stuff, around town . Wet or dry no dramas, & I don't spin my rear wheel under power too much. Hope this is helpfull - happy ridding

I like the Michelin Pilot Road myself, it is one of the softest for my K1200RS (part time canyon carver but mostly high way uses).
