Did you hear (or read) that OJ is finally going . . . ?

to spend 15 years behind bars? It might not be for murder but at least he will receive a punishment for the Las Vegas fiasco. Do you think 15 years is long enough/fair enough? Remember this is for "stealing his own memorabilia" - not for murder?

All good answers - and yes I know he had other charges against him (Me-She2)!!! However, he was actually given 33 years with parole possible in 9 years! I doubt he will get out in less than 13 if the Goldman's have any clout at all! CJ

I think it is poetic justice. I think the sentencing was lenient even for stealing his own memorabilia because they had him on 6 different counts including assault with a deadly weapon and kidnapping. In some states kidnapping alone gets life in prison. So yes I think it was fair. He is 61 and prison will age him fast. He will be lucky if he ever gets out alive. What a stupid idiot.

I understood that he will have to do 13 years before he even goes up for his first parole hearing. And he could be stuck in there for the next 33 years, if paroles are turned down. That could be pretty much a life sentence for a guy in his age group.

Not just for stealing his own memorabilia. There were kidnapping charges, too.

I think it's about right, all things considered.

The jury convicted him on all 12 counts he was indicted for. Considering that, his sentence is too lenient-- a hair more than 1 year for each count? Give me a break!
They won't parole him; people are seldom paroled at their first hearing. He's clearly shown he is a threat to society.
I hope to god they let him rot.
Yay, karma!

I hope he has to spend all 15 years behind bars but they're saying he'll probably only serve 9 years. I'm glad the judge didn't fall for his crocodile tears & his quivering chin. He was an actor in the past, so I guess he thinks he's got what it takes to fool people. Bubba is waiting for him when he gets to prison.

MIS information here.

The Judge's sentence was convoluted to be certain, but cleared up by her staff.

He rec'd UP to 33 years, with eligibility for parole after nine years served.
