Yes and No. The best Navy and equipment for sure. However these aren't the only things that make a military. The US military has great special forces training but by and large, their military's training is not as good as that of a number of other armed forces (UK, Israel, Australia, Canada, etc.). The issue of numbers also can not be disregarded with China easily taking the lead.
The US would therefore have sea superiority without a doubt but air and land are questionable. The UK and Canada have excellent pilots who often train their US counterparts so the question of who is more skilled is apparent. Land superiority is the most debatable with a lot of factors coming into play. Numbers, tactics, and training play vital roles in this regard. Despite my holding the US army in high regard, I believe that there are a number of countries that produce better soldiers.
So I will say that the US has the best Navy but not necessarily the best military. After all what good is a navy against a landlocked country?
The breakdown:
Technology? yes.
Manpower? no.
Tactics? no.
Training? no.
Equipment? yes.
Alliances? maybe
Track Record? no.

best in what terms? Firepower, i.e. your super aircraft carries without a doubt. However The US spends by far more on defense than any other country. It isn't even close, so are we getting the best value for our dollar? Is the US the most feared military around the world, probably. Does that make it the best?
I would say in general term, yes the US military is the best. However, there are many way to legitimately dispute that claim.

11 not 19. still 11 more than any other nation. There are other carriers out there just nothing close to the Nimitz Class. Add to that the 10 "light carriers" now called "Amphibious Assault Ships LHA/LHD" we do have a bit of an edge on all the others.

yep most mullha i would say it has the best quanitity of big guns britain france germany can match quality just not quantity we were going to build 3 super carriers for f35s we ordered but there on hold. i would say thho that americas troops in general arent aswell disciplined as alot of eruopean bog standard troops and we do have the SAS which is as good as it gets personel wise
