I find that single people are less likely to send cards. They may not be as traditional as older people or couples/families. I think it's important to write a personal message in each card to let that person know you are thinking about them and that they are special. I know I prefer cards with personal messages. If you didn't do that last year, try this year.
If you take the time to reach out, I bet you'll get a few more cards this year, and maybe more next year (sometimes people need a year to update their Xmas card list). If you don't get cards from people you see regularly, they probably just don't send cards (maybe b/c of the expense or time involved). If these are people you never see or talk to anyway, not sending you a card may be their subtle way of telling you that they're not interested anymore.

Is that why you sent them? Or was it to keep in touch and wish others a nice Christmas greeting.
Nice if you get one back; if you don't either change friends to more thoughtful ones or get used to it.

That is the way it should be...you send one to them ...they send one to you.But it does not always work out that way. Also the cost of cards and stamps are always going up.Very sad.
