How come women continually disregard human overpopulation?
On Yahoo home page there's a story about a woman named Michelle Duggar. She just gave birth to her 18th child. Then people wonder why there are starving kids around the world. It's because of human overpopulation there are 6 billion people on earth. The fault lies with women for having too many babies. The planet can't provide enough food for 6 billion people that's why there are starving kids in Africa and elsewhere. That's why no woman should be allowed to have more than 3 kids. But women continue to selfishly have anywhere from 5 - 20 kids. Am I the only one who think women are out of control with this?

Yeah, and as we all know, she got pregnant all on her own. It's a Christmas miracle.
Those who continue to insist that overpopulation is a myth need to realize that most of the world's population is concentrated in relatively few habitable areas. The reason many areas of the world are relatively unpopulated is because they can't support large numbers of human beings. People can't live in large numbers in deserts, mountains, and ice caps. They need to be in areas where there are reliable sources of fresh water. In fact, some predict that in the next 100 years or so, water will replace oil as the resource nations will go to war over.
I've heard about that couple, and personally, I think they are insane, but that's neither here nor there...
If the couple (not just the woman) can afford to feed their kids, then they aren't adding to the populace of starving children in the world by having babies. It's rampant lack of education and birth control (not to mention distribution) in the third world countries that is causing many of the starving children. To try and blame it all on *out of control* women is a drastic oversimplification at best...
Here's one: Why do men insist on empregnating women knowing full-well though the couple can't feed any resulting offspring? Sounds like *out of control* men...
Seriously? First of all a woman can not get pregnant with out a man's sperm so I would say it is the mans fault if there is fault at all. The Duggars pay for all 18 of their children on their own, they have no debt and the children appear happy. Some religions do not allow the use of birth control.
I'm against anyone having more children than they can possibly take care of properly in any fashion.
For me, the starvation issue is no threat when it comes to the family you're talking about, but I don't believe it's at all possible those children are getting the attention they deserve.
Over all, people having more than a few children...I can't see how they're able to focus enough on any of them let alone all of them, it's pretty sad.
